Verb Review: Sea Shampoo and Conditioner
I have been experimenting with paraben-free, sulfate-free, all-natural shampoo and conditioners for a while now.
It's been a long road of testing different products to see what works best for me. And because I don't want to waste any product in the process it's been longer than expected. Whether the product worked for me or not I finish the bottle till the very end.
I have tried Live Clean products, Lush products, products from winners natural section and so on and nothing seemed to work for me. My hair was always left feeling greasy and tangly. So when my friend suggested a brand from Sephora called Verb I thought why not try one more product, maybe this will be the one.
My first impressions of the shampoo and conditioner were alright. The scent is a nice clean scent which I liked. I don't like perfumey scents or anything too strong.
The shampoo is a light blue gel and the conditioner is a creamy blue.
The one thing that I have struggled with for all the natural shampoo and conditioner products I have tried is that they hardly lather and this one was no exception. I felt like I had to use more of the product to get my hair clean.
For the conditioner, I found myself using a lot of products because I didn't get that silky feeling when applying it to the ends of my hair.
After the first use, I found it a bit difficult to brush my hair out as the conditioner did not relieve any of the tangles from my curly/wavy hair.
3 Weeks After
After 3 weeks of using this shampoo and conditioner, I have decided to give it away to my mom to try on her hair type.
It was leaving my hair greasy near the roots, very tangly and I found that I had to use a lot of product to get that clean feeling that I desired.
I had high hopes for the shampoo and conditioner and really wanted to see a difference in not only the cleanliness of my hair but a boost in my curls. I saw neither.
It saddens me to say this but after my many attempts of trying all-natural, organic, vegan shampoo and conditioner I am going back to my tried and trusted Aussie shampoo and conditioner.
I am craving clean and fresh smelling hair and the ability to brush through my hair after using conditioner where it does not hurt or have multiple knots.
I really wanted to make the switch to all-natural but I don't think I will be continuing my journey of trying out any more products.
After the first wash with my Aussie shampoo and conditioner, my hair feels much cleaner and easier to brush through.
